Privacy Policy

ADA Site Monitor is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes the information we collect and how it is used. We collect only the personal information necessary to communicate with you, provide our monitoring services and keep this website working. We do not sell, trade or rent your personal data. The same discretion we promise clients under Quiet Client applies to everyone who writes to us.

What information do we collect?

Information you give us, and basic technical information collected automatically. We do not ask for more than an inquiry requires.

Information you provide. When you email us, request a Website SnapShot or ask for an assessment quote, we collect your name, email address, organization, the website address you ask us to look at and anything written in your message.

In detail

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server records IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed and the time of each visit. This is standard web-server activity used for security and troubleshooting.

We do not collect financial account details, government identification numbers or sensitive personal information through this website. Payment for services is arranged in the written engagement, not through this site.

How do we use your information?

To respond to you, to deliver the monitoring work you engage us for and to keep the website functioning.

We do not use information for automated decision-making, and we do not send marketing to people who have not asked to hear from us.

In detail

  • To answer your inquiry and discuss a potential engagement
  • To run the free Website SnapShot on the page you submit
  • To provide the initial assessment and monthly monitoring you engage us for
  • To send information you have requested
  • To maintain the security and performance of this website
  • To meet legal, contractual and record-keeping obligations

Do we sell or share your information?

No. We do not sell, trade or rent your personal data to anyone.

You can submit a formal request through the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.

In detail

Information is shared only in three narrow situations: with service providers who operate parts of the website or business on our behalf and only to the extent needed; with your own IT staff or website vendor, when you direct us to send them findings as part of an engagement; and where required by law, court order or a government authority.

Which third-party services does this website use?

A small number, each with a specific job. These providers may receive limited information when you use the relevant part of the site, and each operates under its own privacy policy.

In detail

  • Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces on this site
  • Email delivery, which transmits the messages you send us and our replies
  • Website host, which stores the site and its server logs
  • Testing tools, which we point at the website address you ask us to check

How do we use cookies?

Sparingly. The public pages of this site are built to work without setting cookies for tracking. Any cookie the underlying platform sets is used for essential site function and security, not for advertising.

In detail

You can block or delete cookies through browser settings. If analytics are added to this site in the future, this policy and its date will be updated to say so before they are used.

What are your rights under this privacy policy?

You can contact us at any time to request, update or delete your information.

To make a request, email us using the address below and tell us what you would like done. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request that concerns personal information.

In detail

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to ask what personal information is held, to ask for correction, to ask for deletion, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and not to be treated differently for exercising any of these rights.

How long do we keep your information?

For as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, and then for as long as the law requires.

In detail

Inquiries and free SnapShots that do not become engagements are kept only as long as they are useful for follow-up. Client engagement records are kept longer because contracts and the found-and-verified monitoring record require it. When information is no longer needed for any of those purposes, it is deleted.

How do we protect your information?

Through standard technical and organizational safeguards. The website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, access to inquiry information is limited to the people who need it to respond to you, and systems are kept current.

In detail

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed, but we treat the information you send with the same care we apply to client monitoring records.

Is this website intended for children?

No. Our services are directed to government administrators, business owners and their advisers. The website is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and it will be deleted.

Will this policy change?

It may, and the date at the top of this page shows when it was last reviewed. If a material change is made to how personal information is handled, this page will be updated.
