Run a Website SnapShot
The SnapShot is a free partial audit of one public web page: a quick automated pass against a subset of the WCAG 2.1 AA checkpoints, enough to show whether your website deserves a closer look before a deadline makes the question urgent. It samples; it does not certify, and it is not the initial assessment.

Key takeaways
- What it is: a free, automated partial audit of a single page against a subset of WCAG 2.1 AA checkpoints.
- What it is not: an assessment, a certification or a legal opinion. A clean SnapShot does not mean a compliant website.
- What you see: the kinds of findings a full report contains, in the same format. An example is one click away.
- What comes next: if the SnapShot raises questions, the initial assessment answers them property by property.
How do you run a Website SnapShot?
The online SnapShot tool is being built right now and will run from this page. Until it is live, we will run one for you by hand: write to Monitor@ADAsiteMonitor.com with your website address and the page you care about most, and you get the SnapShot result by email.
What does the Website SnapShot check?
A subset of the automated checkpoints from the full assessment: image text alternatives, color contrast, form labeling, link purpose, page language and heading structure among them. These are the checks automation handles well; the ones that take human judgment are exactly what the initial assessment and the optional human review exist for, as explained in automated scans vs human review.
In detail
A partial audit is honest about being partial. One page is not a website, and automation is not a person. What the SnapShot gives you is a sample: real findings, from your real page, in the same format a full report uses, so you can judge the kind of work you would be commissioning. The W3C publishes the full standard as WCAG 2.1; the subset a quick automated pass can cover is a fraction of its 50 required checkpoints.
What does a result look like?
Open the example Partial-Compliance-Analysis report in a new tab. The structure is the same one your SnapShot result follows: findings tied to the checkpoint they fail, in plain English, ordered by how much they matter to a real visitor.
